Family - Asteraceae
Perennial to 3 ft tall with coarsely spreading-
hairy herbage. The leaves are entire, long,
narrow, parallel-veined, basally disposed,
stalked, and have blades to 8 in. long. The
disk, to 1.2 in. wide, has yellow pollen, and
the rays, from 1 to 3 in. long, are narrow,
pink (to purplish), strongly drooping.

Rare. Cedar glades or glade-like sites. Found in
Montgomery and Rutherford counties in TN.
The U.S. range is from se MO to s IL south
to ne AR and c TN. Jun-Jul.
