Smooth Ruellia (Ruellia strepens)

Acanthaceae (Acanthus Family)

 This is another one of the Wild Petunia Family . It differs from the Glade Wild Petunia in that the flower does not appear at the end of the stalk, but rather in the middle of the stalk. This is a very frequent flower here in middle Tennessee.
