Clingman's Hedgenettle (Stachys clingmanii Small)

This wildflower is a member of the Mint Family (Lamiaceae).

Clingman's Hedgenettle, is a North American species of plants in the mint family. It is found at higher elevations in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and the Carolina's, with additional populations in Illinois, Indiana, and Vermont. It is a threatened species in Tennessee.

Stiff Gentian (Gentianella quinquefolia)

This wildflower is a member of the Gentian Family (Gentianaceae).

Also known as Ague Weed and Five-Flowered Gentian, his annual has open flowers of light blue or lilac with bristle-pointed, fringeless lobes and a 4-sided stem. It occurs from southwestern Maine south to Florida and from southern Ontario to Missouri, Louisiana, and southern Tennessee.
